Whats the difference if any between the v2 gearbox for a m4 and a mp5? Evike has them listed separately and I cant really tell the difference. A friend wants to upgrade and were not sure if it matters or not. He has a mp5.

the main difference is the wiring unit. Mp5 has a small tamiya connector right at the back of the gearbox while the m4 has a long with with a tamiya connector at the end so it reaches the front or the rear. That's what I have noticed in my experience. I'm not sure but the fire selector plate might be different...might. I might check on that.

The main differences are the wiring, and the selector plate is different as well. Also the trigger is not the same.

So when purchasing the new gearbox I need to tell my friend he needs to get the one for the mp5. Or can I just swap parts from his old one?
